Texas Tech Rodeo to Compete at Nationals in Wyoming This June

Members of the Texas Tech Rodeo Team will compete in Nationals this summer.

After a strong showing at Tarleton State last week, the Texas Tech Women?s rodeo team qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming this June.

The Texas Tech women won their first national title last year and will be seeking their second consecutive championship.

The team finished in second in the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association?s Southwest Region.

The men?s rodeo team will send two qualifying members to compete in individual events at the national championships.

Garrett Hale, a junior agriculture and applied economics major from Snyder, will compete in calf roping. Zach Peterson, a agriculture and applied economics major from Afton, Iowa, will compete in bull riding.
