BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) ? Boise firefighters battled a massive house fire on Yorktown Way in East Boise Wednesday morning.

Firefighters are calling the home a total loss. Six engines responded to the fire this morning that was called in shortly before 2:30 a.m.

A mother and three kids were inside the home at the time of the fire, all managed to get out safely. They are currently staying nearby at a neighbor. (Photos from the Scene)

Residents that we talked with tell KBOI they heard two explosions.

Boise Fire Battalion Chief Jack Ellis tells us ?given what we keep in our garages, aerosol cans, propane tanks that type of stuff. Sometimes we get a lot of reports of explosions and it is more of those things that are going off.?

No neighboring homes are at risk. Firefighters are still investigation just what caused the fire.
